Vedī is the raised platform of an altar — ground made deliberate, marked off and lifted so that what stands on it is understood to be placed rather than left.

The Vedi planters each arrive with the ground they stand on. Vessel and tray are made as one thing, so the object is already sited when it reaches you. What changes is the vessel above: how its faces are cut, and how still or how shifting it reads as you move around it.
