Collection: Sphatik

Sphaṭika is rock crystal, the clear quartz cut and set in temple lamps and in jewellery. The word carries the idea of a stone whose surfaces are planes rather than curves.

The Sphatik planters are made of flat faces meeting at edges. What changes is how those faces are angled — opening a form outward, closing it in, stepping it upward. Light does the rest. Each plane takes it differently, so the object reads by its facets rather than by its outline.
